I’m so incredibly thrilled to announce the very first custom candle collaboration with The Spa at Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles.

It was amazing to visit their gorgeous, 8,000 sq. ft. oasis in downtown Los Angeles to meet with the team to create exclusive aromatherapy-based blends inspired by the spa’s very own curated blends.

We sampled their nourishing body treatment oils, scrubs and lotions to curate a collection of exclusive scented soy candles. Each spa package includes a customized, bespoke candle shipped to their home to remember the experience by.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Los Angeles and LA-based, craft candlemaker LAIT Candles, unveil a customized self-care experience that goes beyond the spa and into guests’ homes, with unique aromatherapy-integrated treatments designed to meet today’s needs, and a bespoke, hand-poured luxury candle delivered post-visit.  

Developed in collaboration with LAIT founder Jennifer Rhee and Spa Director Tyneese Thompson, these specially designed treatments provide guests the opportunity to choose from three areas of focus: unwinding from stress, focusing on breathwork, or grounding treatments that help bring clarity and inspire a fresh start. 

This curated experience begins upon arrival when guests meet with their seasoned spa therapist to discuss a preferred area of focus. Inspired by their selection, the spa team recommends aligned aromatherapy or “scent blends”—specifically designed by Rhee and Thompson—that support their chosen focus. Following each treatment, LAIT creates a custom, hand-poured candle for that unique guest, incorporating their preferred scent blends. The luxury candles are delivered in a beautifully designed, exclusive co-branded package and arrive 2-3 weeks following the spa visit. Packages start at $235 and include pool access and validated parking.

Treatment Selections/Areas of Focus include: 

·       Unwinding from Stress – a relaxing massage that utilizes light to moderate touch and incorporates a custom scent blend featuring calming lavender and white sage essential oils; also includes a classic spa pedicure with lavender paraffin treatment ($300)

·       Focus on Breathwork – a delicate, light pressure massage that begins with deep inhalations of eucalyptus essential oils to release the active mind and includes a foot exfoliation with a custom peppermint scrub blend; recommended aromatherapy includes notes of peppermint, eucalyptus, and cedarwood oil ($290)

·       Fresh Start – an energizing pedicure service starting with a rosemary mint tea soak and custom blend citrus scrub with notes of basil, grapefruit, and cilantro. The pedicure is completed by fresh melon moisture application. Guest will enjoy a heated neck wrap, a warm herbal oil soak, and light citrus hand exfoliation for their manicure that ends with fresh melon moisture application ($235)
