HOW TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR CANDLE
Distinctly elegant fragrances blended with sustainably sourced pure soy wax. Free of parabens, petroleum, and phthalates.
We proudly use sustainably sourced soy wax and blend high quality fragrance and pure essential oils. We do not add any synthetic chemical fillers to modify it’s true nature of soy wax compared to commercial paraffin-based waxes. Because each and every batch of all natural soy wax can vary due to it’s natural surroundings such of temperature and climate changes, we are always striving to ensure the best consistency by continuing to hand-pour in small batches. Take care with our candles to prolong its life - trim the wick down to 1/4" prior to burning to ensure a clean-burning flame. Leaving the wick too long may cause the flame to enlarge which will burn the wax faster and shorten the lifespan of your candle. To extend the life and scent shelf-life of your candle, we recommend not to burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Please be mindful to always use precaution during an open flame. Here are other helpful safety tips:
-
A burning candle will get hot. Always burn a candle at least 12 inches away from flammable objects and surfaces.
-
Keep a burning candle away from drafts, open air vents or ceiling fans / open windows as this can make a candle burn more rapidly.
-
Always remember to keep matches out of children’s and pet’s reach.
-
Never leave a child or your furry pets alone in a room with a burning candle.
-
Extinguish the flame before it burns down to the bottom when there’s 1/2” of wax.
-
Candle wax and water don’t mix. This can cause the wax to spatter or sparks the wick.
-
Avoid moving a candle while it is burning or while the wax is liquefied.

Candle clean up + Repurposing Your Glasses
One of the reasons why we love soy wax is because it is easy to clean. Warm water and soap will clean any candle residue. Stop burning the candle when there is 1/2" of wax left in the glass. After the candle has cooled, place the glass in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Once hardened, take a spoon or knift and gently press down to poke the wax which should lift it from the glass. Wash the glass with dishwashing liquid to reuse. Once thoroughly washed and labels are removed, it may also be used as a drinking glass (except for the colored glass and special vessels like cement and marbles).
You can also soak the candle glass in water and soap overnight. Wipe or peel away the labels and rinse off any wax residue in the glass.
Our Handcrafted Product Guarantee
Each and every LAIT candle has been made by hand including the assembling and packaging process. While small batch-pouring ensures attention to detail, variations in appearance from soy wax may occur and should not be considered a defect. We do not use any coloring additives or dye so it can naturally change depending on fragrance oils added. If the candle is not burning properly where the flame goes out on its own or if there are any other issues, please contact us.
